She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in English and History in 2010, then spent the better part of a decade performing on local stages in Nashville and Dallas as a singer, actor, and poet. Although she has largely had to put her performing career on hold while she has pursued her graduate studies, there has been one notable exception: in 2018 Mindy was one of four actors in Imprint Theatreworks’ production of “Ghost Quartet” which won 3 DFW Critics Forum Awards. After she graduates, Mindy looks forward to continuing her work on stage as well as her work “in the chair” as a therapist. Mindy believes that connecting with the power of storytelling – whether through portraying the imaginary circumstances of a character, articulating her own lived experience, or bearing witness to the lived experience of a client – can be uniquely healing.

When she connects with the light in her own spirit or helps others connect with their own inner luminosity, Mindy feels most alive and excited about being human.
